Take Your Short-term Rental to a New Level

$29

with Diana Merenda, Ellsworth Adult and Community Education

Calendar Apr 30, 2025 at 6 pm

Airbnb SuperHost Diana Merenda is committed to sharing her experience in building her status with Airbnb.  She has lots of very practical tips on how to build a strong business that will bring you joy and success.

She’ll cover registering on the Airbnb site, understanding the calendar and how to best describe your space, but that’s just the beginning. Robust communication from before guests book until they leave is a huge priority for Diana.  She’ll also focus on setting-up house rules from “Welcome” to “Goodbye” and preparing for perfection, while keeping your budget in mind. All of this will result in strong reviews which are critical for success as an Airbnb host.  This is an in-person class.

Diana Merenda, MBA, taught the Management Capstone course at CUNY’s Baruch College for 7 years, as well as Microsoft Suite classes within NY’s SCOPE Adult Ed. She worked within financial services for 30 years before moving to Surry’s Patten Bay.

Upcycling Furniture

$75

with Angie Jones, Five Town CSD Adult & Community Education

Try your hand at this satisfying and potentially profitable craft—repurposing old or discarded furniture into something newly useful, and unique. Turn a dresser into a bar? drawers into shelving? In this class we’ll start with something small enough to carry to class each week—a stool, picture frame, perhaps a small trunk, a vintage silverware box or piece of luggage. The instructor will share ideas and materials to help you accomplish your furniture makeovers. She’ll cover the basics of bringing your goals into focus, planning your project, cleaning, sanding, removing old finishes, and other preparations needed to transform that outdated piece into something fabulous!
