Previous cold-process soap-making experience is required for this class. In this course, you will learn how to formulate your own recipes, which natural colorants you can use to color your soaps, basic swirling techniques, and use of essential oils in your soap. You will leave this class with 2 lbs. of soap and your soap mold. Students should wear long sleeves to class.

In this hands-on course you will learn how to draw what you see. Using time-tested still life arrangements and objects we will explore line, form, value, composition, and technique using pencil and ink wash drawing. A suggested supply list will be provided.

Alcohol Inks Class - In person

Have you heard of the magic that is alcohol inks? Create a watercolor look on non-porous surfaces. Make plain white tiles into pieces of art. No art skills needed to make something gorgeous, super easy, and unique. Paint on glazed surfaces, glass, metal, etc. A variety of surfaces will be provided.

Power of Line Part II, offered via Zoom, will focus on the elements and principles of design, and feature more intensive 'drawing from life' studies. Additional drawing media and techniques will be explored and utilized in new and interesting projects during this class. Please note that if you have not yet taken Power of Line Part I class, you may enroll in this Part II class with instructor permission only. A short supply list is available when you register.
