Questions about Medicare? Join Jo-Ann Neal for this informational seminar outlining the basics of Medicare. Jo-Ann will answer your questions including what Medicare does and does NOT cover when to enroll, the difference between Medicare Advantage and Medicare Supplement Plans, and which plan is best for you. Following the presentation, Jo-Ann will be available for a question and answer session. Jo-Ann Neal of Allen Insurance and Financial is a licensed insurance agent specializing in Medicare. Jo-Ann joined Allen Insurance and Financial in May 2013, bringing with her 10+ years of human resources and benefits administration experience. In 2016, she earned a Benefits Account Manager certification from the National Association of Health Insurance Underwriters and became appointed to work with customers on Medicare plans. 

A wee intro to creating mosaic art. Please bring a photo of a natural landscape special to you to class. We will use the photos to create little worlds of our own by simplifying the landscape and highlighting its most prominent features. We will learn how to score, break, and snip glass down to shape and glue to our substrate. On the last day of class we will finish with grout. Tools will be provided. *A material fee of $35 must be paid in cash to the instructor on first night of class. Materials fee includes: Glass, cutting oil, rubbing alcohol, glue, grout, disposable shop towels, rubber gloves and substrate (either picture frame, serving tray or something like).

NOTE for Session 2: The class on May 14th will be extended to allow everyone enough time to finish cutting and designing their pieces. The class will start at 5 and end at 8. 

Springtime Flowers:  A spectacular time of year.  Learn to observe and notice subtle curves, edges, shapes, overlapping, and depth to translate the botany around you into artwork.  Use a range of media:  oil pastels, watercolor paint, and colored pencils to add vibrancy to your contour flower drawings.

Materials Fee:  $25 (If you have not taken her classes before).

NOTE - This class was listed as running on 6/7/24 in the brochure - the class is scheduled for 5/7/24.  Upcycled Driftwood Mobiles. Come learn the secrets of how Alexander Calder designed and assembled his iconic moving sculptures. We'll use organic driftwood shapes formed by the wind, water, and sand of our Maine coast and recycled wire salvaged from local farms and fields. Everything needed will be supplied. Bring needle nosed pliers if you have them.

Join us for a class in Hatha Yoga led by certified instructor, Nancy Cotty from Peace Within Yoga. Yoga is a great way to relax and improve your health and well being. The focus will be on stretching and breathing while building our strength and finding peace. All levels are welcome. Drop-ins are welcome and new students can join anytime. "Let it Go with Tony" is under TDF (Tony Dance Fiesta LLC) and is not only a dance program that helps you physically by burning calories and keeping you fit, but it also helps you fight depression, it will encourage you to feel empowered and confident. It will be a time dedicated especially to you, where you will laugh, dance, without being judged. This class is for everybody, gender, age and shape… you will go at your own pace, just like you would in a nightclub or in a family party! Course fee is for 6 sessions with Tony.
