Mommy & Me Cupcake Decorating
with Kayla Day, Noble Adult & Community Education
Spend some sweet time together in this hands-on Mommy & Me Cupcake Decorating Class with instructor Kayla! Designed for parents and little ones to enjoy side by side, this class introduces fun, timeless piping techniques that make decorating cupcakes feel easy, and impressive. Kayla will guide you through simple, professional-style designs so you’ll leave feeling like a pro baker, with beautiful (and delicious) creations to show for it.
Bring a dozen plain cupcakes from home and let the fun begin—we’ll provide the frosting, piping bags, tips, tools, and plenty of sprinkles. Expect creativity, laughter, a little mess, and lots of sweet memories.
Materials to bring:
• One dozen undecorated cupcakes (per team of 1 adult + 1 child)
• Food coloring (optional, for custom frosting colors)
• Bowls to mix your different frosting colors
Optional:Kayla will have cupcakes available for purchase at $12 per dozen, payable to her at the start of class.

The Art of Collage

In this 3-week class, students will learn the basics of collage. It;s a great class for beginners who want to tap into creativity, as well as for artists and craft enthusiasts to approach design, texture, and color with a different medium.
During this class, we will make cards, abstract self portraits, compositions for other artwork ( such as painting ), bookmarks, nad decorating book covers or journals.
Whooo's Out There? What is that plant? How to Use E-Bird, Merlin and I-Naturalist
with Great Works Regional Land Trust, Noble Adult & Community Education
Great Works Regional Land Trust is offering a one night class designed to help you use technology to identify birds, plants, and wildlife in your own backyard. This class will be followed up with a weekend hike on one of GWRLT’s public preserves in the school district region. Learn how to navigate and store your data on E-Bird and I-Naturalist. Use Merlin in real time to identify birdsong and connect what you hear to what you see. Whether in your backyard or deep in the woods, you can track your wildlife adventures by place and by date. Participants should bring their smartphones to download the apps they choose to use.
Class Times are as follows:
Classroom time: Monday, May 11: 6 - 8p at Noble Middle and High School
Hike Day: Saturday, May 16: 9a location to be determind

A Family for ME: Becoming a Foster Parent in Maine
with Stephanie Shue, Noble Adult & Community Education
Did you know that YOU could be the life-changing person for a child/family here in Maine? Yes, YOU can become a foster or adoptive parent!
Come learn about the licensing process and the different ways you can help Maine children. There is a special need for people who can care for infants, sibling groups, and adolescents, while also supporting the reunification process. There are also over 100 children waiting to find a forever family. Join us for this informational meeting and take that very first step to becoming a resource family.
You can take this class on ZOOM from home or come to the high school where we’ll take care of the tech. Please indicate if you will be attending in person or from home upon registration.

Wild Edibles Walking Tour
with Zack Rouda, Noble Adult & Community Education
Join us for a walking tour of wild edible plants. We’ll identify as many as we can find. You may want to bring a notepad, camera, or a small basket to collect samples. We will not be actively foraging during the class. Foraged snacks will be provided!

Intermediate Acrylic Painting
with Gayle Fitzpatrick, Noble Adult & Community Education
This 3-week class is for students with some experience in painting with acrylics. We will undertake more advanced color exercises and complex composition problems ( such as a square composition ).
In addition, students will have time and opertunity to pursue personal ideas with assistance and guidance.
