In this class, especially designed for adults with learning challenges, students will enhance everyday life skills by improving their basic reading, writing, and problem-solving proficiencies.

Because of COVID-19 restrictions, this semester the class will be reduced to one day per week.

Learners set their own individualized goals and work toward them in a safe, nurturing, and creative environment. Contact the Adult Education office for additional information.

Northern Viewpoints Book Club: 8 Books

We have received a grant from Maine Humanities Council to offer a book club at a very low cost of only $10/month. However, we are offering the cost to register for all 8 sessions for only $60, that is a $20 savings! This includes the cost of the books each month as well the group discussion. The club will meet the first Thursday of each month.

Enrich your reading experience in this facilitated book discussion group for women. We will read one book a month, and participants will help select some of the books. Session dates are Fall: Sep 15, Oct 20, Nov 17 Winter: Dec 15, Jan 19, Feb 16 Spring: March 16, April 13, May 18 Rebecca Dawson Webb is a freelance writer, editor, and coach. She facilitates memoir and therapeutic writing workshops. And she is a scholar-facilitator for the Maine Humanities Council.

Accuplacer Testing
