Upon successful completion of the  Casas and HiSET Pre-test, students can schedule an appointment to take the HiSET tests.  Testing is done on Fridays.

Students will work to earn a high school level English credit working with standards in reading, writing, and speaking.  This class will meet in person and online rotating each week.  If you need a device to access the class, please contact Mr. Brooks immediately so we can arrange for a device to be issued to you.

This class may be taken as a prerequiste class for college with a $30 fee for residents and a $35 fee for nonresidents.

In this class, especially designed for adults with learning challenges, students will enhance everyday life skills by improving their basic reading, writing, and problem-solving proficiencies.

Because of COVID-19 restrictions, this semester the class will be reduced to one day per week.

Learners set their own individualized goals and work toward them in a safe, nurturing, and creative environment. Contact the Adult Education office for additional information.

Citizenship and ELL Civics Education

Virtual Theater - Script Reading

How would you like to delve into some great scripts and read them together with other theater enthusiasts? We will read and discuss scripts one evening a week for 6 weeks. We will read two scripts during this course, “A Raisin In The Sun” - Lorraine Hansbury & “You Can’t Take It With You” - Moss Hart & George Kauffman. Each session will run aproximately 90 minutes.

The 180 hour Certified Nursing Assistant Course is designed to prepare the student to be a Nursing Assistant. Call the Adult Ed Office at 778-3460 for application, registration requirements and placement on a waiting list. Details regarding dates, location and fees will be provided to participants as the class list is completed.

Assessments required

Do you have a desire to care for elderly and start working in the healthcare field? Be a Certified Nursing Assistant and enjoy the outstanding benefits that you get in this industry.

 First, you must complete a state-approved education program. Next, you must pass a competency exam. Requirements vary from state to state, so check with our program for details.

 The course will consist of one hundred (180) hours of instruction. Ninety (90) hours will be spent in the classroom, twenty (20) hours skills lab, and seventy (70) hours of clinical experience in a long-term health-care facility.
