College Transitions College Readiness

Take the mystery and worry out of applying to and thriving in the college environment. Our College Transitions program helps you build a strong foundation of skills to support your college success.
College Readiness topics include: time management, study skills, navigating a college campus, campus resources, organizational skills, admission & financial aid information.
Weekly classes incorporate active discussion, guest speakers, personal surveys, and written work. College Transitions has a proven record of helping students learn how to overcome challenges faced by new college students and helping them succeed.
Please call us for more information: 207-422-4794. College Readiness is one course in our no cost College Transitions program. Students can attend in person or on Zoom; you do not have to enroll at UMA in order to take our College Transitions courses.

Creating Web Pages

with Ed2Go Instructor, MSAD#1 Adult & Community Education
Create and post your very own website using HTML. You will learn the best strategies for planning the content, structure, and layout of your website as well as creating pages with neatly formatted text, building links between the pages, and more! This course will also cover search engine optimization and powerful no-cost or low-cost web marketing strategies.

SACOPEE FAMILY READING CLUB: SPRING SESSION-Join Anytime

Join us for dinner, stories, and fun family activities! In addition, each child will be able to take home a book each week! This free Parent and Child Together (PACT) activity meets at the Riverside United Methodist Church on Thursday evenings as designated. Applied Computer Skills at School

Looking to improve your digital skills for school? Whether you want to learn new things for your current class(s) or you’re looking to do something completely different, we can help you navigate the digital landscape to find, access, and/or complete your computer goals.
Register to meet with our tech advisor to learn about the free and low cost options to meet your needs. Our staff will assist you with your individual needs and help you find additional resources.
Some examples of ways that we can help:
- Building basic computer skills for school
- Improving skills in online research, protecting personal information online, and adapting to new online tools for shopping, personal care, and financial literacy.
- Online Job Search Skills, including online search techniques and how to apply for jobs online.
- Brushing up on industry standard digital tools and software, like GSuite and Microsoft Office.
- Asking specific questions regarding your individual needs.
