This is an intermediate level ELL/ML (multilingual learner) for those looking to improve their English language skills.

In this class, especially designed for adults with learning challenges, students will enhance everyday life skills by improving their basic reading, writing, and problem-solving proficiencies.

Learners set their own individualized goals and work toward them in a safe, nurturing, and creative environment. Contact the Adult Education office for additional information.

Join us for dinner, stories, and fun family activities! In addition, each child will be able to take home a book each week! This free Parent and Child Together (PACT) activity meets at the Riverside United Methodist Church on Thursday evenings as designated. Monthly Storytime Adventures are curated to include a copy of the storybook for each child registered. A comprehensive craft to accompany the book, along with a take-home and follow-up for parents/guardians to continue the discussions from our Adventure together. The outdoors, movement, and opportunity for creative outlet are encouraged.

These sessions are ideal for parents/guardians of children birth to 4 years. Parent/Guardian discussions will be monthly to discuss topics of how to integrate literacy into our lives with the assistance of Community Partners.

Join us for a night of family fun! Parents and children come together for dinner, a story, and a fun painting activity, as well as other “goodies”! Bring the ENTIRE family! Pre-registration is required in order to keep everyone up to date on any changes.

Language Development from Birth to 5 -  Smith School

This presentation will discuss language development and vocabulary for children from birth to 5 years old and the importance of early language development in grade school children. Included in the presentation will be how parents can boost language development and vocabulary learning in their children. The presentation is given by two Speech-Language Pathologists in the RSU #22 district.

The family story hour will provide a welcoming and fun environment to listen to stories, participate in great themed activities with your children, and have a snack together.  Family story hour is a wonderful opportunity for parents and children to spend time together (PACT). Come and introduce your child/children to really great books and a love of reading.  Special guest readers and surprise hosts are scheduled throughout the year.

An online meet and greet to hold space for conversations surrounding your students. Topics surround family unit cohesion. Including subjects like the influence of social media, proactive vs reactive planning, dinner conversation starters, etc.
