THINKING ABOUT COLLEGE in the near future? This FREE program is designed to help you prepare, both academically and financially, to be successful in college. The College Transitions Program provides a review of reading, writing and math using both face-to-face and online interaction in the true spirit of current college trends. During the course we'll take tours of local colleges, make vital connections with college community members, and get assistance with the college application and financial aid process. Going to college can improve your chances of getting a better paying job, making more money and increasing the quality of life for yourself and your family. This course will prepare students for Algebra I and/or entry-level college math. Whether you need a refresher before registering for your first college math course or need to improve your scores on the ACCUPLACER, you will find this course helpful. There will be a review of whole number operations, fractions, decimals, percentages, and other essential math skills. Word problems and the language of math will be explored. Limit 15 students. No class Feb. 20, and Apr. 23.

CT College Culture

Break down the myth of "college"!  During this component of the CT program, students will explore goal setting, time management, financial aid, and career choices.  Guest speakers will frequently visit the class and students will get help with the FAFSA, as well as tour local colleges.  This is a hybrid course; classes are held with additional work on line.
