Certified Residential Medication Aide Certificate Program

CRMAs are in high demand!
Receive standardized training for professionals working in state-certified residential care homes. State of Maine regulations, standard residential facility policies, and basic anatomy and physiology are covered. Discuss medications, safe administration procedures, practice taking vital signs, transcribing physician orders, and documenting procedures on the Medication Administration Record per Maine’s regulations governing residential facilities. In addition, students must complete a Clinical Medication Administration of three medication passes for three different residents with 100% accuracy. Full certification and medication pass awarded on successful completion with 40 hours of attendance, no exceptions. Participants must be 18 or older. No high school credential or background check required. Tuition includes fee for handbook. Course fee is nonrefundable. Payment plans available for qualified applicants.

Required: Proof of registration, a yellow highlighter, a 1.5-inch 3-ring binder. $100 fee for medication pass payable to the instructor at your scheduled test.

Jennifer Courtois, RN, has 40 years of nursing experience in hospital, home health, diabetes & community education, and 10+ years teaching CNA, PSS & CRMA in both the classroom & clinical areas. In addition, she works as a consultant for an assisted living facility and as a full-time nurse educator.

Substitute Teacher Training

You will tour several schools within the Gorham School District and meet various Gorham School District staff members. Learn about the required substitute paperwork and protocol, strategies to keep students on task, tips to make lessons more appealing to reluctant learners, and tried and true behavior modifiers. Mercy Summer CNA Information Session

Would you like more information about becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)? Join us for this free information session to learn about this exciting opportunity. Students who are accepted into this program will be hired as full-time Northern Light Mercy employees, with benefits, for the duration of the training. Students will be paid hourly to complete the State of Maine Board of Nursing 130 hour curriculum that includes 20 hours of hands on lab experience and 40 hours of clinical work.

Agile Project Management Certificate
