Welding - MIG II

This 36-hour course is for students with prior MIG welding experience, and students who have previously taken the MIG I course. The course will cover advanced machine setup, advanced weld joint setup, and multi-pass welding in hard wire and flux core MIG. Safety is covered in the first two sessions. Upon course completion students are eligible for employment through several area businesses. Please be sure to complete the 3-part form at this link before the first class.

Have you been wanting to learn how to weld? Learn the basics of stick welding and get an introduction to TIG and MIG welding under expert instruction. All safety gear and supplies are included except for leather, steel-toe boots which are required. Class runs for 6 weeks on Mondays & Thursdays

CNA Certified Nursing Assistant-November

Students enrolled in this certificate program complete a minimum of 130 hours of classroom, laboratory, and clinical training, which meet all state licensing requirements. Upon successful completion of the course and passage of the state competency exam, the student will be eligible to enter the healthcare field as a Certified Nursing Assistant under the direction of a licensed nurse. Class size is limited so applying early is advised. Funding opportunities are available through the Pen Bay Apprenticeship Program's "Earn While You Learn" option, as well as several other programs. Prerequisite: high school diploma or equivalent. Contact Adult Ed for an application.
Substitute Teacher Training

Our schools and students need you! Learn effective classroom and behavior management skills, teaching strategies to us in all situations, the best ways to be prepared and professional, activities to use with students who finish early, whole class activities when lesson plans aren't left by their teacher, and activities to use for those five minutes before the bell rings. In just two short sessions, taught by experienced RSU #3 substitute teachers and staff, you can be trained and earning $105 a day before you know it!
Behavioral Health Professional Training & Certificate Program (BHP) OCT 19 & 20

Our community is looking for individuals who want to make a difference in a child’s life. A Certified Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) makes an impact on a child while helping them learn to grow and develop. This ONLINE training program will equip you with ways to help children who are currently on a wait list for services and will also prepare you for employment through local social services agencies.
Work at your own pace completing 12 online modules prior to attending three 4-hour live sessions, including the new ethics and boundaries training. Once the modules and live sessions are completed, you will receive links to bloodborne pathogen training and virtual First Aid & CPR training. The entire program requirements will take about 45 hours to complete. Any individual who will be 18 years of age or older upon completion of the course may register.

Anyone over the age of 18 with a high school diploma can be a Substitute Teacher!
