Welding - TIG

This 36-hour course is for students with some training in STICK or MIG. TIG (GTAW) is most commonly used to weld thin sections of stainless steel and light metals. It is the most difficult of all types of welding but can give clean, strong, x-ray quality welds when mastered. Students will learn proper techniques for flat fillet welding with carbon steel using the GTAW process. Safety is covered in the first two sessions. Please be sure to complete the 3-part form at this link before the first class.

Payment plan available: $100 deposit plus 5 payments of $51.00, paid every two weeks.

CNC Machining - Oct.

This 21 hour course introduces students to CNC (Computer Numerical Control) manufacturing.  Machine functions, tooling set-up, reading machine language, part set-up and machine manipulation will be covered. Basic CNC mill operations and manual programming techniques will be used. Learn the fundamentals of using a vertical CNC milling machine and how to generate a program using basic G and M codes. Upon course completion, students are eligible for employment through several area businesses. Prerequisite: completion in the Machining Part 1 course, employment in the industry, or enrollment in tooling university courses. Bring safety glasses and wear reinforced-toe shoes to class. Welding - MIG II

This 36-hour course is for students with prior MIG welding experience, and students who have previously taken the MIG I course. The course will cover advanced machine setup, advanced weld joint setup, and multi-pass welding in hard wire and flux core MIG. Safety is covered in the first two sessions. Upon course completion students are eligible for employment through several area businesses. Please be sure to complete the 3-part form at this link before the first class.

This workshop will help participants learn Photoshop© techniques and skills, and apply them immediately to their personal photography. Using classroom lecture and interactive student participation, the course will cover workflow, file types, optimizing images, layers, tools, panoramics, color balance, black and white, and archiving. Extensive handouts will lead students step-by-step so that skills can be practiced at home. We use Adobe Photoshop Elements 2019 for our instructional labs in class.
