Medicare 101

Workshops will be held online using Zoom.

Medicare is not one size fits all. New to Medicare? This session will review a wide variety of information to help you navigate the waters. We will review how to obtain Medicare, when you are eligible and many other important topics including supplemental insurance to compliment original Medicare. If you are currently enrolled in Medicare, come get a refresher on the basics and better understand the choices available to you and when you can make changes. There are many different products and carriers available as well as various enrollment periods that give you the opportunity to change your policy if appropriate. Anyone with questions about Medicare will find this class helpful.

Note: The  Medicare 101 seminar is free; the $5 fee supports RSU 54 Adult Education registration costs.

Beginning Conversational Spanish

You will know enough vocabulary and grammar for simple conversations, and you will learn how to ask and answer questions.

The intimate nature of the audio medium allows potential clients to get to know who you are and determine if you are the kind of company with which they want to do business.  Learn how to take your business or hobby and turn it into a podcast. 

This step-by-step class will take you from start to finish and cover the required elements needed to get your show online.  Come to class with your idea and end with your show online for all to hear.

A standardized, 120-hour medication course approved by the Maine State Board of Nursing, which provides the basis of understanding needed for CNAs to administer medications accurately and safely. The course is designed to teach experienced CNAs how to administer non-injectable medications to patients who are 14 years of ago and older under the direct supervision of a licensed registered nurse in long term care facilities and state mental health facilities.

Potential students must be currently licensed CNA’s, provide two letters of recommendation from Registered Nurses, and acheive a qualifying reading score on our placement testing. Start Date July 5, 2021. $1,000
