Automotive Technology

Calendar Mar 5, 2019 at 5:30 pm, runs for 10 weeks

This 10 week course will give you a basic understanding of your automobile as well as provide a launching pad to careers or further study at a community college level. We will cover the following topics, aligned to ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) standards: Foundation and Safety, Basic Engine and Auto Transmission Fundamentals/Service, Steering System and Suspension, and Brakes. By completion of class, the student will have a solid understanding of lubrication, fluids, tires, vehicle maintenance, and how systems work. Safety is covered in the first two sessions and students will be assigned safety modules to study at home. This is not a bring-in-your-own-vehicle repair class; applied learning will occur in the shop on a demo vehicle.  Protective eye wear and steel-toed footwear required.

Payment plan available: $75 deposit plus 1 payments of $70.00, paid every four weeks

Bus Drivers Information Class

This information class will tell you about being a bus driver for rsu#12, whether it be full time otr part time. This class will explain the paper work need to apply and other requirments. We will also explain how we can help to obtain the license needed to apply and can set up a study group with Adult Ed to help with the written portion of the test. Booklets for the test and applications will be available. Your instructor is Larry Dancer, Operations Manager for RSU#12.

 

C.N.A. (Certified Nursing Assistant)

Learn the ins and outs of this challenging career from someone who knows the career first hand! This course is 180 hours long with lecture, lab, and clinical experiences at two local nursing homes and the hospital. There are prerequisite reading and math assessments that need to be completed prior to enrolling which can be taken Monday-Wednesday from 9am -noon or Tuesday-Wednesday from 5pm-8pm. 

There is MANDATORY orientatio for this class on Tuesday, January 15th at 2:30pm.

C.R.M.A. (Certified Residential Medication Aide)

Calendar Mar 11, 2019 at 12 pm, runs for 5 weeks

This 40 hour course gets you ready to work in the health field distributing medication. Jobs are always available for this certification! Start working by summer! There is a prerequisite reading assessment that needs to be completed prior to enrolling. This can be taken any Monday- Thursday morning at 9 am or any Tuesday or Wednesday night at 5pm. 

Mandatory orientation for this class on Monday, February 25th at 2pm.

C.R.M.A. Re-certification (Certified Residential Medication Aide)
