Tis is an intermediate/advanced class for English speakers of other languages who want to further improve their vocabulary, pronunciation, listening, and speaking skills; learn efectives ways to communicate in formal settings such as schools, colleges, and the workplace; strengthen reading and comprehension of diferent forms of texts; and develop formal and informal writing skills. Students will also work on reading, writing, and presentation skills in English specifc to individual career interests and goals.

Six levels of English classes are offered. Beginning levels focus on basic communication, life skills and literacy. Intermediate levels continue to focus on reading, writing and life skills. Advanced levels focus on reading, writing and grammar in academic context to prepare students for continuing education. Students must take a placement test to ensure proper placement in the classes. Appointments are offered weekly during the school year. Call 874-8155 to make an intake appointment.
