These classes are designed for people who speak little or no English. This is a fun and engaging way for students to learn English vocabulary and grammar in context while gaining skills and strategies in reading, writing, listening and speaking. Students are tested to see what level they are currently which will help in placement. All tests are to measure your current level and are NOT pass or fail tests.

Open Lab is designed for students who need Resume or Job Application help or for students who want to drop in to work on the computer for a bit. It is also a designated day for appointment only onboarding of students to the Burlington English, Northstar Digital Literacy and EnGen platforms.

We will learn how to take advantage of the positive and reduce the negative effects of stress! Anger is one of the most misunderstood over-used human emotions. In this class we will learn how to recognize anger by identifying our anger triggers. We will learn about the three components of anger; the Emotional State, the Expression, and the Understanding. This class will increase your knowledge about how anger affects you. You will learn new ways to cope with anger and set goals to manage anger more effectively. Learning how to manage stress and anger is a way of taking control of your life. It is also a way of staying healthy and happy.

This course will cover basic operation, fractions, decimals, percents, rates, ratios, proportions, order of operations, problem solving, measurements, intro to geometry and intro to algebra. Our Civics course is perfect for anyone who would like to study the rights and duties of citizens and the workings of the United States government.  Students study the theoretical, political, and practical aspects of  Citizenship, Government, and the History of the United States.  This class will help prepare you for the Citizenship exam.
