Career Readiness is a work place preparation course designed to organize an individual for the necessary skills for successful job searching. Course focus is designed to fill out job applications, write resumes and cover letters, and learn soft skills when joining the workforce. Course will have guest speakers that work in human resources, field trips to job fairs, and learning what skills employers are looking for.

Calendar Sep 16, 2019 at 9 am, runs for 41 weeks
Math Basics covers place value, calculations with the four operations of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division using whole numbers, decimals, fractions and percentage. In addition, it covers the basic vocabulary of geometry, reading of tables and graphs used in the world and introduces problem solving strategies for real life situations. Math Essentials covers the number system, exponents and roots, the order of operations, percents, ratio and proportion, measurement and units, integers, geometry, simple statistics, simple equations and includes applications that use those Math topics. Students will learn to work with and without the use of a calculator. This class prepares for the HiSET® test. Instructor: Sue Finch Schedule: TBD
