Literacy
English for Multilingual Learners
with Old Orchard Beach/Saco Adult Education
Learn and practice English in one of our in-person or online classes, surrounded by a small group of peers also working to develop their English language skills.
Classes are available in multiple levels, depending on the current fluency and your needs. Additional learning materials for at-home study are available. Students are expected to have regular class attendance and reliable transportation.

In your hour-long appointment, you will fill out paperwork and take an English placement test. We can then place you in classes that best suit your needs!
Basic Math
with Tina Monreal, RSU 25 Adult and Community Education
A great course to understand the basics of math and build on it. This course will cover basic operation, fractions, decimals, percents, rates, ratios, proportions, order of operations, problem solving, measurements, intro to geometry and intro to algebra. This course will prepare you for Pre-Algebra, Healthcare Math, and HiSET Math prep. Schedule set with student at enrollment.
Civics

Our Civics course is perfect for anyone who would like to study the rights and duties of citizens and the workings of the United States government. Students study the theoretical, political, and practical aspects of Citizenship, Government, and the History of the United States. This class will help prepare you for the Citizenship exam. Pre-Algebra

This course is a great transitional course from Basic Math to Algebra I. The course will also prepare you for the HiSET Math Prep course. This course will cover integers, expressions, equations, linear functions, graphing, real numbers, right triangles, percent, distance, surface area and volume. Telehealth - Connecting with your Healthcare Provider from Home
with Lake Region & Fryeburg Area Adult Education
In this class we will look at how you can connect with your healthcare provider from the comfort of your own home. Telehealth is the new Home Visit, allowing healthcare providers to evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients, whether it’s for checkups, consultations, or a follow-up appointment. We will discuss the process; from setting up your initial appointment, what to expect, insurance and patient portals to community resources.
"Cutting the Cord" - Getting TV & Phone Services Over the Internet
with Lake Region & Fryeburg Area Adult Education
What does it mean to "Cut the Cord"? It's about canceling cable or satellite services and being able to watch television shows online, as well as options that would allow you to get rid of your landline. This class will not only show you the wide variety of options out there, but also teach you some tools to decide if cutting the cord is right for you.
