This course, designed with University of Maine at Augusta and Kennebec Valley Community College, will assist students to develop the skills necessary to be successful in college. The class will cover topics such as college applications, FAFSA and financial aid, study skills, time management, and more in a safe, non-judgmental atmosphere. The class will be offered in three modules. Students may take one or all three modules. If all three modules are completed successfully students may be eligible for college credits and/or scholarship opportunities. (3 UMA credits/1 KVCC credit) No class Oct. 12. Google/Gmail account required; contact Mike before class if help is needed.

Microsoft Power Point: In this presentation software program you will learn to cut, copy and paste, along with learning about different fonts to create slide shows. You will learn to import from other files like Word, Excel, and the Internet and learn about compatibility with other MS Office Suite products. Microsoft Publisher: The Publisher program is designed to aid you in designing your own calendars, cards, and invitations, to name only a few of the many ways to use this program. Students need to bring a thumb drive to class. Limit 12 students.
