How to juggle everything and get it done efficiently is key to success in college. This workshop will combine time management technique with study skills to help a student learn strategies for college success. It will also include a review of vocabulary and explain who to go to for help with different issues. By knowing what the Bursar does versus what the financial aid office is responsible for can save a lot of time and energy!

 

Accuplacer Prep for Reading and Writing

This class is a great opportunity to work on the academic skills that will help prepare you to successfully take the Writing and Reading ACCUPLACER placement tests. Considering a career change? Need assistance going back to college, but not sure where to start? Have you recently lost your job and don’t know what support services are available to you? Federal law provides access for free career training and support services for adults and youth to overcome barriers to employment. Set up an appointment with our Adult Ed team and let us help you navigate the murky waters of adult transitions. Meet our staff here.

Biology with Lab

Free

with Learning Center Staff, Five Town CSD Adult & Community Education

For any and all students who are prepping for Nursing or Medical Laboratory Technology admissions review, this is an excellent opportunity to meet the admissions “Biology with lab” prerequisite. If you have been away from science courses for a while, this course is recommended to prep you for rigorous college science classes. Students who successfully complete this class will earn 1 high school credit. Spring semester.

This must be taken before you register for classes.

The scores from the CASAS are used to guide your placement into courses at the level that is perfect for you. 

Spruce Mountain Adult Education offers both paper-and-pencil and computer-delivered assessments. 

A $5 fee will be charged for testing.  If a student enrolls in our program, the fee will be waived.
