Career Readiness is a work place preparation course designed to organize an individual for the necessary skills for successful job searching. Course focus is designed to fill out job applications, write resumes and cover letters, and learn soft skills when joining the workforce. Course will have guest speakers that work in human resources, field trips to job fairs, and learning what skills employers are looking for.

Students will learn algebraic concepts through teacher instruction/demonstration, classroom discussions, and investigations. Homework will be assigned and corrected on a weekly basis with the opportunity to ask questions to further understanding. This is also considered a prep-class for the Acculplacer.

Algebra 1 covers the real number system; understanding, writing, graphing and using equations, inequalities to solve problems, exponents, polynomials, roots, radicals and quadratics. This class prepares you for the Accuplacer Algebra test, ASVAB or PRAXIS tests. Instructor: Sue Finch Schedule: TBD ALL Classes require an intake and orientation appointment and placement testing.
