COMPUTER LITERACY FOR ADULTS & SENIORS, Session 1

It’s not just a matter of teaching old, young, or other “dogs” new tricks. You can do it! Technology is more user-friendly than you may realize. Learn the basics of informational and transferable skills focusing on what you want to do and how to simplify life using your computer, laptop, or tablet as well as the Internet and Gmail. Bring your laptop or tablet. If you need one to use, just let us know. Please pre-register as space is limited.

Monthly Storytime Adventures are curated to include a copy of the storybook for each child registered. A comprehensive craft to accompany the book, along with a take-home and follow-up for parents/guardians to continue the discussions from our Adventure together. The outdoors, movement, and opportunity for creative outlet are encouraged.

These sessions are ideal for parents/guardians of children birth to 4 years. Parent/Guardian discussions will be monthly to discuss topics of how to integrate literacy into our lives with the assistance of Community Partners.

High School Completion Information & Enrollment (START HERE)

This class is the first step to register for our high school completion program. Find out if HiSET(formerely GED) is a good fit for you, or is an adult education diploma a better option?  

Come meet with our staff, learn what can be accomplished at RSU13 Adult & Community Education, and complete the registration paperwork needed to begin a learning program.

*Note that students choose just one of the session dates listed below to register.*

At the end of the Info & Enrollment Session, students will receive a link to register for the Foundations Course (required) to begin their academic program. Students may choose take schedule free HiSET practice tests (optional). Practice tests take approximately 45 minutes to complete and will be scheduled separatley. 

Registration requested, but not required to attend an Info & Enrollment Session in-person.

Registration is required for virtual attendance so we can send you a secure meeting link. Complete the registration for the student attending the class.

Advising & Workforce Workshops May 9 - Resume & Interviewing W24

Including the importance of fine-tuning your soft and social skills, how your routine influences your daily actions and productivity, and listening to guest speakers share their experiences from different workplace environments.

Monica Larrabee, M.A. CCC-SLP and Katherine Thibodeau, M.A. CCC-SLP

This presentation will discuss language development and vocabulary for children from birth to 5 years old and the importance of early language development in grade school children. Included in the presentation will be how parents can boost language development and vocabulary learning in their children. The presentation is given by two Speech-Language Pathologists in the RSU #22 district.
