Beginner Conversational French

Proper pronunciation is important to good communication. Beginning Conversational French will help you master the best pronunciations. Simply click on each word to hear it spoken. Every word and sentence is also written out phonetically.
This course has been carefully crafted to ensure you will have no trouble pronouncing French words correctly. The first three lessons introduce the basics needed for most conversations in French, such as "please" and "thank you." You will also learn numbers, days of the week, months of the year, and telling time.

CERTIFIED FIRST RESPONDER

received certification in providing pre-hospital care for medical emergencies.
Certified individuals should havereceived much more instruction thansomeone who is trained in basic first aidand CPR but they are not necessarily asubstitute for more advanced emergencymedical care rendered by EMTs andparamedics. Fall 2019

CERTIFIED RESIDENTIAL MEDICATION AIDE

This is a 40 hour course, with 5 trainingsessions. The purpose of the CertifiedResidential Medication Aide course isto provide training for professionalsworking in state certified residentialcare homes. The course covers State ofMaine regulations, residential facilitypolicies, basic anatomy and physiologyof the human body. Participants willdiscuss common medications in the majordrug classes, common side effects ofmedication and the individual’s responseto medication side effects. Participantswill learn safe medication administrationprocedures, vital signs, transcribingphysicians’ orders, and how to documenton a MAR (Medication AdministrationRecord). Upon completion of this 40 hourmedication course participants will be ableto administer medications in accordancewith Maine’s regulation. Under theguidance of an RN Educator eachparticipant will be required to completea clinical Medication Administration in alicensed facility on 3 different residents tobe eligible for certification.*Recertification is required every 2 years

The course covers State of Maine regulations, residential facility policies, basic anatomy and physiology of the human body. Participants will discuss common medications in the major drug classes, common side effects of medication and the individual’s response to medication side effects. Participants will learn safe medication administration procedures, vital signs, transcribing physicians’ orders, and how to document on a MAR (Medication Administration Record). Upon completion of this 40 hour medication, course participants will be able to administer medications in accordance with Maine’s regulation. Under the guidance of an RN Educator each participant will be required to complete a clinical Medication Administration in a licensed facility on 3 different residents to be eligible for certification.
*Recertification is required every 2 years
