Science is sensational especially when partnered with fieldwork. This two-section course will enable students to earn a half credit in each section for a maximum of one credit toward their high school diploma. The first section will focus on aquaponics and the second section will be a look into a mysterious disease harming our Hemlocks. Please call the ABE Coordinator to register for this and other high school diploma classes. No classes 2/19, 4/22.

In this course you’ll learn to light up your art or poetry. You can create cards, ornaments and more using simple circuits. We’ll go over how to build the circuit and some basic safety before you start creating. Bring in art you’d like to light up, or printed pictures you’d like to use. We’ll use small LED Lights and Copper Tape to make our creations shine. Paper, copper tape and lights will be provided.

This course will assist students to develop the skills necessary to be successful in their life and careers. The class will cover topics in a safe, non-judgmental atmosphere. The class will be offered in three modules. Students may take one or all three modules. Each module will meet once a week for five sessions and is independent of the other modules. This allows students to take one or more of the modules over the course of the semester. Each completed module earns a student one-third credit towards a high school diploma. Community members are always welcome and encouraged. No class Feb. 17, and Apr. 20.

Microsoft Power Point: In this presentation software program you will learn to cut, copy and paste, along with learning about different fonts to create slide shows. You will learn to import from other files like Word, Excel, and the Internet and learn about compatibility with other MS Office Suite products. Microsoft Publisher: The Publisher program is designed to aid you in designing your own calendars, cards, and invitations, to name only a few of the many ways to use this program. Students need to bring a thumb drive to class. Limit 12 students.
