Calendar Sep 30, 2020 at 10 am, runs for 8 weeks

This course will help the student be successful in life by keeping their finances in order. Finance is an important part of life in which we must protect ourselves. With changes in life, especially with the invention of the internet, this course will help prepare a student for financial skills in life. Fraud is one of the most destructive things in life, and protecting your identity is essential.

We will go over the areas of how finances are kept in order, how bills affect the changes in finances. The differences of using a credit card vs a debit card vs cash vs a check. We will discuss the importance of how to conduct activity online and the benefit of having a spare checking account to prevent fraud. We will use math to see where savings can take place, and where the traps are in life by understanding graphs. We will also cover the basics on how to count money and not use a calculator. Lab fee: $20
