In this course we will focus on the key features of interest to iPhone users, including Apple Intelligence which Apple labels as “AI for the rest of us”; useful and more powerful changes to Siri, addition of a new Passwords app, and upgrades to the Photos App, Control Center, Privacy and Security; and Accessibility. In addition we’ll show you how to get the most out of the Calendar, Calculator, Messages, and more. This course covers navigating your iPad, its Camera and Photos apps, the options available in Settings, ways to communicate through writing and video, plus how to answer and make phone calls. Plus, you will learn about the apps that came already loaded on your iPad like the Calendar and Siri, your virtual assistant. It is important that you have updated to iOS 15; but don’t worry—if you don’t know how, we will show you the steps. Finally, you will also learn about accessibility features that are helpful for folks with finger mobility, sight, or hearing difficulties.

Doing basic internet searches on Safari is fairly straightforward. However, within Safari there are many options most of us never explore. Join us for five lessons that will unlock the secrets of Safari: options contained in the top menu, choices provided on the opening screen, tips for more efficient searching, possibilities hidden within the share feature, and a demo of why you want to click on the AA button. After completing the five lessons you will truly know the ins and out of Safari.

WordPress is the most popular content management system (CMS) for website and blog design.   

During the first week, you will learn or refresh your knowledge of all the initial steps and the required elements for having a website. Then find out how to build a simple WordPress website or blog. Topics include an introduction to CMS, WordPress installation and setup, page and content creation, administration, themes (selection, purchase, installation, and setup), working with widgets and plugins, and more.   Finally, acquire advanced knowledge about WordPress options and features. You will learn how to modify WordPress web pages by hand-coding, learn about simple yet effective search engine optimization (SEO) techniques that improve your website ranking, and much more.    

After successfully completing the WordPress Certificate you will know how to build a WordPress website or blog, customize your WordPress site by hand-coding HTML, CSS, and PHP, know necessary regular WordPress maintenance, create WordPress website backup, and know how to apply SEO techniques in WordPress.
