Whatever your need, Sanford Community Adult Education is here to help you accomplish your educational goals!
We start with a FREE Math and Reading Assessment (and short Essay), called the CASAS.
This must be taken BEFORE you register for classes.
The scores from the CASAS are used to guide your placement into courses at the level that is perfect for you.
All tests are held at Sanford Community Adult Education (Anderson Learning Center) Room 143 at 21 Bradeen Street, Sanford, Maine.
Choose Your Own Adventure: Your Life Edition - Be Safe, Be Successful

Attention 17-25 year olds!! Going out into the world after graduation? Getting a place, a job, or more schooling? This quick, 7 hour workshop will help you think through the choices you'll be making and teach you strategies to be safe and successful this year. Topics covered will include:
- Managing your finances
- Time and organizational skills
- Online smarts
- Managing substance use pressures
Join us on Wednesday, July 24, from 9am-4pm, to learn how to choose your own adventure and get the awesome ending you want! FREE LUNCH is included!
This workshop is offered as a partnership between York Adult and Community Education and the Choose to Be Healthy Coalition.
BONUS: Successful completion of the workshop earns you a FREE $25 gas card and the book "How to Act Like a Grown-Up" by Mark DuPre (a funny, yet informative easy read.)

College and Career Readiness Program
with ACE Staff, RSU 25 Adult and Community Education
Are you preparing for college, training, making a career step and need to take a course or to receive tutoring to be ready for your next step? Any high school course can be taken as a credit or non-credit (your choice) to assist you in reaching your goals. We also provide course specific tutoring, Accuplacer and ASVAB preparation, College and Career Readiness courses, Healthcare pre-requisites and preparations, and Digital Literacy Tutoring and certification. Study skills, Financial Aid, Computer Skill, Time Management, Balancing Your Checkbook, Career Exporation, English, Math, and Biology are all just sample of the assistance we can provide. We accept enrollments year round and have onsite, blended, and distance learning options to fit your schedule. Most of our College and Career Readiness courses are free of at very low cost. Many of the individual courses and workshops are listed with expanded descriptions on our website at www.rsu25.maineadulted.org, and we will also work with you to design your own individual learning plan. Have you been thinking about beginning college for the first time, or returning to finish up your degree? Do you need to brush up on your math, computer or writing skills?
YOU ARE NOT ALONE.
College Next is designed to prepare students for college with the skills and confidence to be successful. The program is offered by Maine College and Career Access (MCCA), with support from UMA-Rockland Center. College Next consists of three sections; English skill building, Math skill building, COL 100-Introduction to the College Experience (3 credit course). Students are encouraged to register for the full day, but may take any combination of the three sections.
Cost of books and supplies:
COL 100 - $40 book/supply fee (inc. flash drive)
Fees may be paid in full at Orientation (payment plans are available).
