Advanced Web Design

American Heart Assoc. Heartsaver Infant, Child & Adult CPR/AED

The American Heart Association Heart saver CPR/AED Course is designed to teach CPR and relief of foreign-body airway obstruction for victims of all ages to lay rescuers, particularly those who are expected to respond to emergencies in the workplace because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements. Course is ideal for any person interested in being trained for response to a sudden cardiac emergency in the home, school, or community.
Knowledge and skills for the use of an Automated External Defibrillator will also be included. Two year AHA Heart saver Certification awarded upon course completion.
Materials: $5 per student to be paid to instructor first night of class. A minimum of 5 students for class to run with a maximum of 8 students.
American Heart, First Aid

This 6-hr certification class offers basic first aid knowledge with a focus on children and/or adults. It is a perfect course for bus drivers, teachers, parents, child care providers, summer camp counselors and others. Students receive hands-on instruction & practice in first aid emergencies including how to care for bleeding, bone fractures, head injuries, heat/cold emergencies, allergic reactions, poisoning, airway obstruction, etc.
Android Application Developer

This program will give you valuable Android Application development experience. In the program, you will learn how to develop basic Android Applications using the Android ADT framework. When you have completed the program, you will be equipped to start exploring the world of creating applications for Android Devices. Course will run
Assisted Living Caregiver Ready Certification
with Barbara Roberts, Sanford Community Adult Education
This combined certification has a prerequisite of high school diploma or equivalent and CASAS Reading and Math score of 236 and includes:
Personal Support Specialist (PSS), a 56-hour training approved by the Office of Licensing and Regulatory Services that is required for individuals who would like to work as a PSS: providing personal care (bathing, dressing, toileting, transfer), home management and providing assistance in the aging process and diseases.
Certified Residential Medical Aid (CRMA), a 40-hour training focusing on safe and acceptable procedures in the administration of meds and treatments as assigned by a residence administrator.
Math & Reading for Healthcare, a 32-hour course to improve math and reading skills specific to the healthcare industry. Tuesday, March 6 to April 24, 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Resume & Interview for the Job, a 16-hour session giving you tips and practice for putting your experience and education into the proper resume format as well as interview preparation and presentation including mock interviews. Tuesday, May 1 to May 22, 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Materials provided include blood pressure cuff and uniform (specifics given at first class.)
NOTE: PSS ($225) and CRMA ($350) may be taken independently as well
