Yard Sale

On June 7th Presque Isle will be holding their annual City Wide Yard Sale. If you want to participate but live too far out of town or in another town we have an option for you. We are selling off parking spaces in our parking lot (behind the high school) for $7 each to put your garage sale items in.

You need to register to get a spot but can pay at the time of set up.

Set up will start at 6:30 am on Saturday and we will close up by 3 PM. We will be doing this Saturday ONLY. (Cars can be parked in the upper parking lot). We have 45 spots available and if we max that out will be see about opening more spots.

Adult and Child Emergency Care Course

$130

This comprehensive program trains layperson rescuers in CPR techniques and the use of an AED for infants, children, and adults, along with basic first aid for common injuries. Led by an instructor, the course includes videos and hands-on skills training. Participants should bring lunch and wear comfortable clothing for floor work. Upon completion, a digital certificate valid for two years will be issued from First Response Training International. The program meets OSHA and ILCOR standards and is accepted by the U.S. Coast Guard. 

Material Fee: $15 (Paid to instructor at class)         

Foraging Walk

In this class you will learn about edible and medicinal wild plants commonly found in the spring. We will be looking for and examining nutritious greens, their uses, and their niche in the local ecology. Class will meet near the windmill behind school.Boots or waterproof footwear is recommended.

Ducks are amazing animals, but unfortunately there is not a lot of accurate information out there on caring for them as pets. Join us in learning all the ins and outs of duck care; housing, feeding, maintaining, health and protecting them from predators.

Cara Cribb is the founder and executive director of Anchor ME Farm, a nonprofit that provides a safe space for people by doing therapeutic activities with unconventional animals. Ducks have been an instant favorite animal and coming across all of the issues with this species, Cara has learned how to care for each one and would love to share.

Gayle Fitzpatrick has taught in public and private schools, colleges, and adult and community programs for 30+ years. She is a practicing artist, producing and showing paper, print, and painted pieces.

Intro to Electronics Soldering

Calendar Jun 7, 2025 at 2 pm, runs for 1 week
Learn to solder electrical components to circuit boards and join electric wires. This 3-hour course introduces the tools, materials, safety considerations, and skills for making sound soldered joints. You’ll learn important safety practices for handling high temperature tools, use of appropriate PPE, all done in a ventilated environment. You’ll hone your new soldering skills through a series of practice exercises using electrical circuit components.
