Are you comfortable with your clay abilities and just looking for a place to work and improve your skills? Join us in the Morse High School Ceramics Studio and start making all those things you have been dreaming up! This is not an instructor lead class, but the instructor will be on site working in case you need something. $65 for materials and studio fee, payable to instructor, must be paid on the first night of class. *Purchasing additional clay: The fee is an additional $65 to cover the firing, glazes and other consumables used during class. Please note: If you miss a class, you cannot make-up the class at another time. The ceramics schedule is very tight and these classes are usually full. Thank you for your understanding!

Sign up here if you would like to register for orientation and assessment for our CNA class starting Mid September. We partner with the quality facility Durgin Pines to help you learn the caring skills you need to earn your certificate and employment. Online Class is: July 8, 2024Classes will be on Mondays, Tuesdays & Thursdays 8am-2pm In-person at Durgin Pines: LAB: TBD CLINICAL: TBD Please note: This is not an actual registration for the class. You must complete an orientation and assessment. The dates for orientation and assessment are: You must have confirmation from Buffy (207-344-3879) at Durgin Pines in order to be officially registered for the class. Continuum employees have preferred seating.

If you work for Durgin Pines, you can earn as you learn they will pay you to take the class, therefore the call is free. If don't want to work for Durgin Pines you can pay for the class yourself it's $1250.

Sewing Camp For Children 7.8.24

Learn to sew! In this class you will learn both machine sewing and hand sewing techniques. The class will be divided into two groups, one group will start the day working on a sewing machine while the second group will work on hand-sewing projects. After a break the two groups will switch. In machine sewing you will learn how to make a small envelope pillow with inserts, how to personalize slippers, make a key fob, and possibly also a small pouch with elastic closure. Along the way you will also learn safety and sewing basics such as how to use and care for the machine, measuring and cutting fabric, and sewing tools. In hand sewing you will learn how to sew on a button, use fabric paint, and learn the whipstitch and ladder stitch. If there is time and interest, the group may make a small hand-sewn teddy bear. Speed-control sewing machines will be supplied to make machine time easy and stress-free. Class is suitable for ages 10-13.

Driver's Education: Morse High School w/Bryan

Parents are required to attend the last 30 minutes of the first class AND participate in a ride-along with your child for the last hour of their 10 hour driving lessons requirement.  Please Note:  There is a make-up fee for missed classes.

Are you 15 years of age or older and want your State of Maine permit to prepare for your driving exam? We offer driver education courses to help build strong, safe, and confident drivers. Students are awarded an instructional permit upon successful completion of the course with a grade of 80 percent or better. Only employee discounts are allowed, but you must call to register. If the student has a medical condition, please contact the office or click on the link below as an additional medical form is required. Total hours of instruction is 40; 30 classroom and 10 driving. Full payment of $535 is required at the time of registration. If a student withdraws from the course, $75 is withheld from the refund to cover program costs. Only employee discounts for this class. Please bring your birth certificate or passport to the first class and a pen to every class.

Students enrolled in this certificate program complete a minimum of 130 hours of classroom, laboratory, and clinical training, meeting all state licensing requirements. Upon successful completion of the course and passage of the state competency exam, the student will be eligible to enter the healthcare field as a Certified Nursing Assistant under the direction of a licensed nurse. Class size is limited so applying early is advised. Funding opportunities are available through the Pen Bay Apprentice Program's "Earn While You Learn" option, as well as several other programs.
