HISET (GED) PRE-TESTING

Register today for the Hi-SET Pre-Test Sessions.  It’s FREE!

ID  & SOCIAL SECURITY number's are REQUIRED for testing.

You will take a CASAS first, you will need more than one session to complete all 5 sub-tests. Register for the first date, then you will schedule your additional dates as needed.

1 - You must have a valid, state-issued photo ID.

2 - You must be at least 17 years old.

If you do not meet these (2) requirements, call us and we will evaluate your situation, you may still be able to pre-test.

Pre-Tests are administered in Reading, Writing, Math, Science, and Social Studies.

Those who test prepared or well prepared in a pre-test subject and are at least 17 years old, will be advised when the next Official testing session is scheduled.

Those who do not receive "prepared" or "well prepared" on a pre-test subject can meet and create a plan which could include attending classes and/or working with a tutor.

All pre-testing will be held at the Sanford Community Adult Education office at 668 Main Street, Sanford, ME 04073.

This is an online course.

In just a few hours you can learn enough about playing the guitar to give you years of musical enjoyment, and you won't have to take private lessons to do it.  This crash course will teach you some basic chords and get you playing along with your favorite songs right away. 

Fee includes the online book, online follow up lessons, a recording of the class and also an optional periodic questions and answer session.  Class is held online using zoom and is partly hands-on instruction and partly lecture/demonstration.  For ages 13+

 

Clinical Medical Assisting (CCMA)(SET CLASS TIMES)

There is a cost of $3,500 to enroll in the class.  If you choose to do a payment plan through Academy of Medical Professions, Cost is $3,750

This is an online course. There are set times for classes.

Registration for this class is free, meaning there is no fee to sign up for this course.  However, once registered, there is a cost of $3,500 to enroll in the class.  This registration doesn't secure your spot in the class.  Your registration details are necessary for SCAE to forward to American Medical Professions.  Payments go directly to Academy Medical Professions.  They offer multiple payment methods.

After signing up for the class, you'll receive a packet to fill out and send directly to Academy Medical Professions.  Once you have filled out the paperwork and the requested information, Academy of Medical Professions will contact you to complete your registration process.

An all-inclusive 16-week program that includes in-person skills labs and live via Zoom class meetings (Tuesdays) and in-person skills labs (starting after the 3rd or 4th week on Thursdays) that prepare you to pass the National Certification.  Upon completing the program, you will sit for your CCMA (Certified Clinical Medical Assistant) national certification exam through NHA. 

$3,500 includes National Certification, 6 practice exams, online study materials, books, resume assistance, and all other associated fees.  Externships may be available in your area.  Payment plans are available.

This class runs from June 17, 2025 through September 30, 2025.
