Aroostook County Adult Education Programs are all partnering with the EnGen online learning platform to provide ESL instruction, support and career guidance. 

EnGen is a personalized, career-aligned English learning platform that offers 130+ courses that equip learners of all levels with both language and career skills to access opportunities in high-demand fields.  Courses range from Beginner English Literacy to more advanced career-aligned courses in the fields of healthcare, manufacturing, retail, hospitality and many more.  

When you enroll in these courses through Adult Education you will have access to all the EnGEn courses as well as support and instruction from a local instructor who will work with you to ensure your success in ESL.  You will also have the option to work with the local instructor either in person or remotely via video conferencing.

Adobe Illustrator is the industry standard computer illustration software. Use Illustrator to draw shapes and design logos, flyers, posters, banners, business cards or any other vector graphics for print or web. In this course, you will learn Adobe Illustrator fundamentals to set up a print document and use various tools to draw, type and color all kinds of shapes and illustrations. Learn how to efficiently manage layers and artboards, and create print-ready PDF documents. Access to Adobe Illustrator software required.

We offer both Math and English courses for adult learners who need training to prepare them for daily life functions and basic job skills. Anyone who is seventeen years old and is no longer enrolled in traditional high school may register. These classes meet at regularly scheduled times each week.

Students join this class at anytime during the academic year! 

In the 21st century, half of all learning will be online.  The opportunities are tremendous for teaching online.  Discover how to plan, develop and teach an online course. Take home a ten step model for developing your online course.  Experience one of the most advanced online classrooms for teachers. Learn how to create online audio lectures with slide shows. Are you looking for a space to work on your projects?  Are you looking for somewhere to be able to lay out your quilts, Cricut or any other items you may need?  We want to help! We can provide you a space to meet all your crafting needs.

We have sewing machines that you can use, or you can bring your own.  Bring your crafting bags and some friends and work on your projects together.  

Cost is $5 per night and you can pay when you arrive.  Room will be open at 4 pm and will close at 8:45 pm.
