Yoga Back Care Basics

Please note the dates for this class have changed from those printed in our brochure. The new dates are Thursdays May 22 to June 26. The location has also changed from the yoga studio in Thomaston to the instructor's home studio in Waldoboro. Students will receive the address to the studio upon registration.
In this Gentle Yoga class for a healthy back participants will learn an evidenced based Yoga movement practice to maintain &/or improve back strength, flexibility & reduce low back pain. Together with Breath & specific movements you will stretch and strengthen your muscles, reduce muscular tension, build flexibility and strength, and improve balance and bone strength.
Patti Prema Kristiansen is a Registered Yoga Teacher and Certified Yoga Therapist in the Midcoast area since 1998.
The Maine Death with Dignity Act 5.22.25

There is still a lot of misunderstanding and misinformation about Maine's compassionate end-of-life care option. Many providers and patients in Maine are still not familiar with Maine's Death with Dignity Act. In effect since September 2019, the law permits physicians to practice medical aid-in-dying under specific circumstances. Know the facts and, if qualified, the right to access medical aid in dying if they choose. Join this class to get fact-based information and all the details you need to know about Maine's law, how to have the conversation with your physician, and how to qualify for the law or support your loved one who may be qualifying. (No materials/supplies required).

Are you heading off to college? Are you going on a trip? Have you considered your safety in your home, school, and workplace? Join other women and young teen girls, for this FREE safety educational lecture and discussion. Teen girls must be thirteen years old to attend due to the mature nature of the topic. Parents, please use your discretion. A $10.00 donation is requested but not mandatory.
