Heartsaver Adult and Pediatric First Aid CPR AED (Session 2)

A classroom, video-based, instructor-led course that teaches students critical skills needed to respond to and manage a first aid, choking or sudden cardiac arrest emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services (EMS) arrive. Students learn skills such as how to treat bleeding, sprains, broken bones, shock and other first aid emergencies. This course also teaches adult CPR and AED use, and is for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in first aid, CPR and AED use to meet job, regulatory or other requirements. Job Coach Credential

This new job coach credential will provide the training you need to help others improve their educational and employment outcomes. Job coaches are responsible for on-site assistance to individuals with disabilities to observe, train, identify their skills, abilities, and barriers to employment. Coaches also act as a liaison between the employer and their employment specialist to enable the individual to maintain employment. Earning the job coach credential consists of two parts: an 18 module training online from the College of Employment Services and a day long face-to-face workshop in Fading Supports in the Workplace. The online modules are on-demand and can be taken at any time once you apply for the credential program via WRAE. The face-to-face workshops take place a few times a year. You can register for one of the Fading Support workshops at: http://www.syntiro.org/calendars.html. Keep in mind you must complete all 18 modules before attending the face-to-face training. Both portions of the training must be completed within six months of registering. Individuals must first sign up for the course through WRAE then we will send you the link to pay for the training registration. The online registration fee for this program is $200 plus a $20 fee for the face-to-face workshop. Both payments must be made prior to starting the online training. American Red Cross Babysitter Training

The primary purpose of the Babysitter’s Training course is to provide youth who are planning to babysit with the knowledge and skills necessary to give care safely and responsibly for children and infants. Participants will learn how to generate a babysitting business, keep themselves and others safe, and learn about basic child care and first aid. This training is designed for youths ages 11 to 15.

Participants who successfully complete this course will receive a certificate for Babysitter’s Training that does not expire.

 

Babysitter’s Training Notes for Parents: When delivering your child to the class, please walk them to the classroom and make certain that the instructor has a good emergency contact number for you. A one-half hour lunch break is planned into the day. Please remember to send a lunch, snacks and something to drink with your child. Class ends promptly at the designated time. Please arrive fifteen minutes early to pick up your child from the classroom.
