This 14-week program prepares you to pass the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board exam. You will also receive a Certificate of Completion through the Academy of Medical Professions.   This program is active for ONE YEAR from date the of the Student’s activation, this allows our Students the time to successfully complete the program and to review up until the day they sit for the National Certification Exam.

 

As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be helping the Licensed Pharmacist with all the necessary day-to-day services that the Pharmacy provides. Everything from preparing medications to answering phones, receiving and verifying prescriptions, counting tablets, taking requests for refilling of medications, and much more.  You are an assistant to the pharmacist.

 

Talk about job security!! This is a growing field with high demand and great salaries.  You can work for places such as:  Pharmacies at Hospitals, Independent Pharmacies, and retail chains like Rite Aid and Wal-Mart and Walgreens.  There are so many possibilities.

 

Excellent communication skills and customer service are essential in this field.  You must have the ability to learn and retain procedural processes and apply them quickly and accurately.  Most places do require flexibility of hours some might ask for:  nights, weekends, or holidays depending on where you work and for whom you work.

 

You will be working one-on-one with a Pharmacy Technician instructor as you go through your weekly assignments.  She is always available and is in constant contact with you as you progress through the program.

Become Nationally Certified in 10 weeks as a Phlebotomy Technician by professionals in the industry.  Our course is all-inclusive and in-depth. You will be able to: Perform basic phlebotomy procedures; Evaluate patients for the ability to withstand venipuncture procedure; Explain the venipuncture procedure and answer patient questions; Perform basic point of care testing, such as blood glucose levels on patients; Prepare blood, urine, and other body fluid specimens for testing according to established standards.  Clinicals are performed during the class, including 75 sticks, and will require immunization records prior to enrollment. Tuition includes national certification, books, resume and job assistance.

Children’s Behavioral Health Services are vital to Maine’s children with Intellectual Disabilities, Autism and Mental Health Disorders and their families. And the need in our area is great! As an integral part of the child’s treatment team, a Certified Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) has the opportunity to make an immediate impact while helping a child grow and develop to their full potential. We are excited to connect our community with this wonderful blended training and certificate program. This training will prepare you for employment through local social services agencies and equip you to work with children who qualify for services. The program can be started at any time and finished at your own pace. Learners must complete all 12 online modules to be eligible to attend the Live Day on Friday Oct 11th from 8:30-4:40pm. Once the modules are completed, you will receive free online bloodborne pathogen training. Child and Adult First Aid & CPR certification is required. In just 40 hours, our free remote training program can get you certified and on your way to a life-changing profession. Must be a Maine resident, and at least 18 years old with a high school diploma (or equivalent) to become certified.
