Please note class is taught live online via Zoom. You will be sent a link prior to class. If a student is unable to attend the live online training time, they can still register and watch the recording of the training at their convenience. Follow-up support is also included from the instructor and students are encouraged to reach out with questions at any time before or after the class has concluded.

The PVAEC State of Maine-approved Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) course includes classroom instruction, skills labs, and clinical experience. Enrollment is limited to 10 students. The admission process requires a criminal background check and reading comprehension testing. Tuition covers textbooks, background checks, and the state exam. Admittance to the course requires proof of all necessary healthcare worker vaccinations, including the full COVID-19 vaccine series.

This is a course that will provide high school participants, 16 years and older, with the tools and understanding needed to lead small groups of children through an afternoon of adventure. We will explore the principles of outdoor ethics, outdoor recreation, and stewardship/conservation, and highlight student success to share their work. This course is geared to pair mentors with youth and promote the importance of outdoor education and develop a love for life-long learning.

Learn about adult, child and infant CPR and AED use, adult, child and infant choking, and how and when to call emergency services. Course includes use of manikins, video, certified instruction, practical components, and a certificate of completion. Practical time has been increased to ensure you have enough time to gain confidence in your skills. Optional workbook is available for $10 (cash please) from instructor at class.

In this class, you'll learn how vulnerable your online identity and accounts truly are and be introduced to the free and easy steps you can take to protect yourself and your loved ones. This class is open to students of all levels - you shouldn't need a PhD or a tech-savvy friend to achieve cyber peace of mind.

WorkReady is a 60-hour, program that develops seven standards associated with soft skills and work readiness. We have partnered with Augusta CareerCenter and the National Retail Foundation to identify and work towards specific workforce pathway components including resume writing, interviewing, and portfolio completion. This class is offered in person with assignments to be completed online.
