Spanish for Beginners Level II

The Level II course is a continuation of Spanish for Beginners Level I. In order to succeed in the course, students need to be comfortable with their current knowledge of Spanish Level I, such as personal pronouns, gender and numbers of nouns, adjectives, cardinal and ordinal numbers, and the conjugations of regular and irregular verbs in present tense. Level II aims to enhance students' proficiency in everyday communication, focusing on both spoken and written Spanish. Prerequisite: Spanish for Beginners Level I or equivalent. No class 2/20.

Behavioral Health Professional Training BHP JAN 25 SAT

Our community is looking for individuals who want to make a difference in a child’s life.
A Certified Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) makes an impact on a child while helping them learn to grow and develop. This BLENDED training program (online modules and a live, instructor-led, virtual session) will equip you with ways to help children who are in need of services and will also prepare you for employment through local social services agencies.
Work at your own pace completing 12 online modules prior to attending the live sessions, including the new ethics and boundaries training. Once the modules and live sessions are completed, you will receive links to bloodborne pathogen training and Child and Adult First Aid & CPR training. The entire program requirements will take about 45 hours to complete. Individuals must be 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent to register.

Learn about adult, child and infant CPR and AED use, adult, child and infant choking, and how and when to call emergency services. Course includes use of manikins, video, certified instruction, practical components, and a certificate of completion. Practical time has been increased to ensure you have enough time to gain confidence in your skills. Optional workbook is available for $10 (cash please) from instructor at class.

Outsmart the Scammers Seminar

Incidents of fraud are on the rise, and scammers’ tactics are becoming more complex. This presentation will help give you the information you need to outsmart the scammers. During the program, we'll discuss how to spot certain red flags that may indicate a fraudulent encounter, resources you can turn to in the event you or loved ones are targeted, and steps you can take to protect yourself and others.

Welding - MIG I (Jan 2025)

This 36-hour (GMAW) course is for students with little or no experience in MIG welding. This course will cover shop safety, troubleshooting problems, machine settings, basic metal joints and how to weld them. Safety is covered in the first two sessions. Upon course completion, students may enroll in MIG II or TIG Welding. Students provide their own safety glasses, welding gloves, and reinforced-toe footwear. Please be sure to complete the 2-part form at this link and return it to MCST to complete your registration. Priority is given to those who seek training for the (welding)work force or who are looking to learn/upgrade their welding skills for their current employment.
