High School Completion

Life happens. If you didn't finish high school, come see us about completion- it is never too late, and Adult Ed is here to help!
We offer flexible programming and support- you can prepare for and take your High School Equivalency Test (HiSET), or you can enroll in our diploma program, and we'll transfer in any credits you earned.

Take classes and earn credits toward completing your high school diploma. We have small group instruction, self-study and on-site computer-based learning opportunities. Call the ABE Coordinator to schedule an appointment to discuss these flexible, high quality, and interactive solutions. Subjects are scheduled based on your needs. Students may start the registration process through our website, but they must complete registration by meeting with the ABE Coordinator.

HiSET Math Learning Lab

This learning lab supports students preparing for the HiSET mathematics test. Instruction covers test-taking skills as well as problem solving strategies in the content areas of Algebra, Geometry, Statistics, Number Operations and more. Open enrollment.

Are you thinking about making a change in your job or career? Are you considering going back to school to further your training or education, but are not sure of your options? Our college and career advisor can meet with you to complete career assessments, explore options that fit your needs, and make a plan to help you reach your goal. Get side by side support with applying for financial aid and scholarships, placement in workforce training programs, resume writing, and interview skills. Additionally, basic Math, Algebra, and English courses are available, if needed, to help you improve your core skills. We’re here to assist you with your transition to a new job or training program.

Math for HiSET

Critical Reading: Intriguing True Stories
with Phil Wormuth, RSU 24 Adult Education

Sometimes the truth is stranger than fiction! Read about some unexplained, natural occurances in the world. Even if you don't think of yourself as a reader, these strange stories will pull you in!
Spark your curiosity by reading a series of high-interest, nonfiction stories and articles designed to enlighten and entertain while building your reading comprehension and critical thinking skills.
Students who complete this course sucessfully will be awarded a high school ELS credit.

Health Explorations
available
with Megan McOsker and Phil Wormuth, RSU 24 Adult Education

In Health Explorations students will learn about the four domains of health: physical, mental, emotional and social. We will focus on developing knowledge and skills important to young adults and aim to equip students with a toolbox of useful strategies for living a healthy life. Topics will include but are not limited to: cultivating mental health, accessing healthcare, disease prevention, nutrition, dimensions of physical health, substance use, and social dimensions of health. Students will develop a personal health plan that will address the four domains of health.
