You can be the life-changing person for a child in Maine. You can become a foster or adoptive parent! Come learn about the licensing process and the different ways you can help. There is a special need for people who can care for infants, sibling groups, and adolescents, while also supporting the reunification process. There are also currently over 100 Maine children waiting to find a forever family. Join us for this informational meeting (ages 21 and over). 

Microsoft Excel Level III

This class will continue to look at additional capabilities and advanced functions. Prerequisite: Successful completion of both Microsoft Excel Level I and Level II or instructor permission.

MAINE DRIVING DYNAMICS

This course offers drivers the opportunity to improve their driving abilities. This five-hour course includes of collision avoidance techniques, safety issues, driver habits and attitudes, and the basic elements that constantly challenge drivers on Maine’s highways. A certified Maine Driving Dynamics instructor teaches the course. Participants must attend both evening. Those completing the course will receive a three point credit on their driving record. (Please include your driver’s license number and date of birth when registering) 

Fee: $40, age 65 & older $25 

Portraiture

You will need to bring a DSLR with a flash (on camera is fine) to class for this exciting workshop in portraiture.

We will explore studio lighting, and the various methods of setting up lighting scenarios. There will be strobes and flash units available and the class will fully participate in making their own portraits. Enter the exciting world of portraiture and learn to take your own family portraits, senior pictures or even capture images of your beloved family pet.

Proper techniques and safety are stressed.  Select Mig (4 spots available), Tig (3 spots available) or Stick (3 spots available).  Welding helmets and gloves are provided.  However, if you have your own equipment, please bring to class.

HORSEMANSHIP 101

This class is focused on horsemanship with an emphasis on gaining confidence and understanding with horses. This class can accommodate a beginner who has never been around horses to an experienced horse person who would like to learn new techniques for ground work and the development of communication between horse and handler.
