Managing Generations in the Workplace

Get an understanding of managing workers in different generations in the workplace. Discover what motivates each generation at work, what incentives they respond to, and what messages they value. Generations X and Y are significantly different than the Boomer generation. Each generation has different expectations and styles of work in the workplace. Come explore the characteristics of the different generations in the workplace. Discover the current motivations of Boomers, Gen Xers and Gen Yers and what messages they value. Then Identify practical, how-to tips and techniques for managing Boomers, Gen Xers, and Gen Yers in the workplace.
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
with Margy Gambell, RN, Biddeford Adult Education
This is a Maine State Approved Certified Nursing Assistant training course. The new amount of hours has been reduced from 180 hours down to 130 hours. Preparing students to become C.N.A. certified requires 70 classroom hours, 20 lab hours, and 40 clinical hours. Routine tasks required for personal nursing care will be taught.
Applicants must apply, and be screened for acceptance in accordance with local and Maine State regulations, confirm academic skills through the CASAS Test, and pass a criminal background check.

CNA Nursing Assistant Med (CNA-Med)

Medications course follows standardized curriculum approved by the Maine State Board of Nursing. The purpose of this course is to teach experienced certified nursing assistants (CNA) to administer selected noninjectable medications to patients who are 4 years of age and older. This standardized medication course will provide the basis of understanding needed for the CNA to administer medications accurately and safely.

Prerequisites: CASAS Reading score 244, worked as a CNA for 1,200 hours within the last 2 years.
