IEPs, Transition Plans, and Further Education/Training

with Heather Orr, York Adult Education

Free

As students with special needs prepare to transition from high school to further education or training, understanding how their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and transition plans can support them in post-secondary settings is crucial. This workshop is designed to provide students and their families with essential information about carrying these plans into their future endeavors. The workshop will cover the role of IEPs in higher education and vocational training settings, how to communicate effectively with post-secondary institutions, and strategies for advocating for necessary services and supports.
