small gift. The basket can be used again to hold holiday greens. The basket is made with various widths of reed splint. The participant will choose 2 colors of dyed reed to be added as an accent. The basket measures approximately 5”x 5” x 3” wide on top and 8” with handle. The participants will learn the first steps of making a basket. The participants will learn how to twine a base, to weave up the sides with a continuous weave, finish off the top, insert a handle and lash on a rim. The basket will be finished off with a Christmas ribbon.
