Maine Adult Education

This is an online course.  This class can be taken anytime anywhere.  All classes are pre-recorded for you to take at your own pace.   You still have instructor support for the self-paced class.

Registration for this class is free, meaning there is no fee to sign up for the course.  However, once registered, there is a cost of $3,200 to enroll in the class itself.  Your registration doesn't secure your spot in the class.  Your registration details are necessary for SCAE to forward to American Medical Professions.  Payments go directly to American Medical Professions.  They offer multiple payment methods.

After signing up for the class, you'll receive a packet to fill out and send directly to American Medical Professions.  Once you have filled out the paperwork and the requested information, Academy of Medical Professions will reach out to you to complete your registration process.

Medical Transcription is a desired field for most people to work from home.  Strong typing, computer, and English Grammar skills are essential.  Medical terminology, formats, rules and regulations, jobs, calculation of pay, confidentiality, and tricks of the trade, all equipment, reference books, and course books are provided with the course fee.  Classes are online for 16 weeks with completion of 16-week to 6-month options.  This is a State Certified Program, and you will receive a Certificate of Completion and Letter of Recommendation upon graduation, resumes and how to obtain a job are covered in this program.  The program includes Medical Terminology, Anatomy & Physiology, and Transcription.  

$3,200 includes everything for the course and the field.  The required typing skills are above 60 WPM, and Microsoft Word proficiency.
