Are you putting your camera away because you just don’t see the difference between your expensive camera and your smart phone? Learn to fully utilize your camera's potential! Harness your creative power with photography! Take that first giant step into the world of photography! Discover all the basics in this hands-on class, including changing depth-of-field, controlling what’s in focus in the background, stopping or blurring the action in your scene, and many other basic picture-taking techniques. Required: A camera with interchangeable lenses such as a DSLR or mirrorless camera.



Introduction to Beekeeping 1/29

This is a one-session overview of keeping bees with brief presentations about the time, commitment and financial considerations involved with the hobby. We will review the equipment necessary to establish your own hive and options for placement of hives at various locations. Seasonal management of hives, pests and diseases of the hive and products of the hive will be discussed.  This is an interactive program with time for questions and answers.


Beginner Gouache (the Bold Cousin of Watercolor)

Discover gouache, the bold cousin of watercolor.  This water base, opaque medium that dries to a matte finish is well suited for painting quick studies of ever-shifting atmospheric conditions. Beginner gouache set and medium specific paper are provided. Materials fee of $14 payable to instructor at class.

Medical transcription is a desired field for most people trying to work at home.  Strong typing, computer and English grammar skills are essential. Medical terminology, formats, rules and regulations, jobs, calculation of pay, confidentiality, FTP,  tricks of the trade, all equipment, reference books, and course books are provided with the course fee.  Classes are once a week for 16-weeks with a completion of 16 weeks to 6 month options.  This is a State Certified Program and you will receive a Certificate of Completion and Letter of Recommendation upon graduation. Resumes and how to obtain a job are covered in this program.  Course includes medical terminology, Anatomy & Physiology and transcription. Course fee is $2400 which includes everything for the course and the field.  Payment plans are available.
