Resume Writing & the Interview

Looking for a new job, a promotion, or a career change? Sharpen your resume and your interview skills. Carrie will not only show you what a resume should look like, but also what it should say. She will walk you through the creation of the most common sections found on resumes in today’s job market. She’ll also help you prepare for an interview. About Carrie: Carrie is a native Mainer and attended school through the BE school district and still lives in the local area. She works as a Vocational Rehabilitation Consultant at Unum and has been with the company for over twenty years. She attended SMCC, USM and University of WI Stout obtaining a Masters degree in Vocational Rehabilitation, Clinical Counseling, and Alcohol and Drug Counseling. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and all their amazing animals. She also loves being outdoors, hiking and running.

Our personalized classes will help you get the skills you need to apply for a job, get your license and even prepare you to become a U.S. citizen! Beginning and intermediate classes available. In order to enter this program, some testing and completion of paperwork are required.
About Yvonne: Yvonne Wentz is an instructor for English classes at Bonny Eagle Adult Ed. She completed her undergraduate studies in music education and elementary education. She has graduate degrees in middle school math education and also in administration and supervision. In addition to teaching for Bonny Eagle, she is the music director for St. Nicholas Episcopal Church in Scarborough and she teaches for Scarborough Adult Ed and coordinates their MLL program.

She integrates DNA results into her research to enhance its depth and accuracy. Nancy started the Maine Genealogical DIG (DNA Interest Group) in 2016 and the FTDNA Maine Genealogical Project in 2015. She grew up in Cumberland, Maine.

New to the idea of DNA testing for genealogy research? Learn about the three major test types: Y-DNA, mtDNA and atDNA. Find out what each test offers and which might e the best tool to help with your research. Genetic DNA testing can give clues to the origins of your paternal and maternal lines. It can prove or disprove a genealogical problem. This testing can help find unknown family lines in cases of adoption or other separations from biological lines. It will find relative with whom you share a common ancestor. DNA is a wonderful tool to be used with traditional genealogical research. No discounts.

Zumba Dance Party - Monday

Zumba® classes feature exotic rhythms set to high-energy Latin and international beats. Barbara’s classes are fun, and the steps are easy to follow. Music selections include both fast and slow rhythms to help tone and sculpt the body. Class feels more like a dance party than a workout. Before you know it, you’ll be getting fit and your energy levels will be soaring! Note: We will be offering an additional nights of Zumba on Wednesday & Thursday nights. About Barbara: Barbara has been a ballroom dancer and instructor for most of her adult life. She is also a licensed Zumba instructor certified to teach Zumba, Zumba Toning, and Zumba Gold. She just celebrated her 10-year Zumba anniversary. Barbara has been teaching Zumba classes at MSAD#6 since 2014.
