Western Mountain Senior College--Annual Membership
with MSAD#44 Adult & Continuing Education
Membership with WMSC covers membership cost for programs from September 2023 to August 2024. There may be an additional cost for specific programs. Serving primarily the over-50 population, with Associate Membership available for anyone over 18. WMSC membership grants access to courses at any of Maine's 17 Senior Colleges; https://www.maineseniorcollege.org/
We offer:
-A wide variety of regular classes, some with directed readings and discussion, others more hands on.
-No testing: participation is for the sheer joy of learning.
-Enjoyable and engaging members-only activities.
Our Mission: To support lifelong learners in their quest for new knowledge and experience by providing a variety of programs and activities.

Don’t let the weather get in the way of your goals!
Come walk in the hallways at Telstar High School to keep moving year round!! Don’t want to walk alone? Bring a walking partner too! Just sign in at the Adult Education office.
This is a school calendar year opportunity on Mondays through Thursdays. When school is closed for any reason, walking will be unavailable.

When: 2023-2024 School year Monday - Thursday
Time: 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Where: Telstar High School
Tuition: $10.00 for the year.

Behind the Scenes; Region 9 Tour
with MSAD#44 Adult & Continuing Education
Come learn about the many diverse sources offered to our local students. In partnership with the Bethel Rotary Club, Western Mountains Senior College members have an opportunity to tour the Region 9 School of Applied Technology. There is a limited number of spaces available for the class, so register as soon as possible!
When: Tuesday, May 21st.
Time: 9:30 a.m.
Where: Region 9 School located at 377 River Road, Mexico Maine.
This course is free and open to the public. We recommend registering for this course in order to keep you updated on any changes in the course.
Wildflower Walk at Step Falls, B

A spring favorite is back. A leisurely, easy, one mile round-trip hike along beautiful Step Falls. It is the perfect time to enjoy the wildflowers and waterfalls and before the summer crowds arrive. Be sure to bring approprate footwear, water and insect repellent.

NDEC; IPhone Basics
with National Digital Equity Center, MSAD#44 Adult & Continuing Education
This course covers the basics of how to use Apple’s popular iPhone. This class starts with the basicsof how to log on using multiple methods from passcode to touch id to face recognition technology.Apple’s iCloud service will be discussed, including how it will help secure your data and allow yourdata to be used across multiple Apple devices. The App Store will be covered to find additionalapplications that may meet your varied interest and needs.

NDEC; Creating a Facebook Business Page
with MSAD#44 Adult & Continuing Education
This two-session class teaches participants how to create their first Facebook Page for a business, nonprofits, or cause. We also go over inviting friends to like your page, producing content, and page management to have a successful page on Facebook.

Learn what it takes to have a successful career as a clinical medical assistant in the exciting and high-demand world of healthcare.
Demand for medical assistants will grow 23 percent through 2024, so there's never been a better time to explore a career in healthcare! This online course will give you an overview of the job duties and scope of practice of clinical medical assistants. You will learn about the different types of medical records and how to enhance the overall patient experience. You will also get an introduction to charting patient complaints, creating progress notes, and collecting medical history.
