Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Clinical

This is a Maine State Certified course. The course includes 120 hours of classroom instruction plus 80 hours of clinical practice at Stephens Memorial Hospital and a local health care facility. Requirements include a reading test, interview session, physical within the last year, immunization records, and the willingness to dedicate your time to a 14 week commitment. Gold Prospecting an Introduction II

This introduction to gold prospecting will teach you techniques and explain the equipment needed to get started. You will learn how to read the river and where to hunt for gold. We will inform you of places that are accessible to the public where sizeable gold has already been found in Maine. After just one class you will have the knowledge and skills to venture out on your own. This is a great and affordable activity the whole family can enjoy. In fact this is one activity that may pay for itself with Gold. A material fee of $10 is paid to the instructor first night of class.
Karate - II

Okinawan Shorin-Ryu Karate. Students will learn open hand foundational techniques, kata, and basic standing grappling (tuite). Classes will also include lessons on history and culture relating to Okinawan Karate. As students progress they will have opportunity to learn Okinawan weapons (Kobudo) such as the “bo”. Beginners welcome! Students should wear comfortable work out pants or tee shirt to class. As they progress, and prior to testing, students will need to acquire a “Gi”. Information on sources will be provided during class.
Medicare - Understanding

The understanding Medicare presentation will review the following areas: When you are eligible for Medicare benefits, the timeline to enroll for Medicare benefits without penalties, what original Medicare covers and doesn’t cover, what additional plans are available that work in conjunction with original Medicare, and briefly go over the financial assistance options.
