GRAVESTONE CARE

with Gary Mason, Cornish Historical Society, Sacopee Valley Adult & Community Education

$5

The Cornish Historical Society invites you to join us at Riverside Cemetery in Cornish to learn more about the mystique of gravestones, how to add to their care, and maybe some exciting history, too. Gary Mason, who has been trained by the MOCA (Maine Old Cemetery Assoc.) instructors, will demonstrate the proper cleaning techniques, the appropriate products to use, and the history of the stone itself. The class will begin at “The Town Lot” (called the Paupers’ Lot in the ol’ days) where the “Baby Indian” is buried. After that, the mystique will begin. Please pre-register for planning purposes.
