TAI CHI TUESDAYS & THURSDAYS

Check out SVACE’s most popular class – Tai Chi with Robert Mason. Our adult population is always dealing with aches and pains from sport injuries, arthritis, stress, etc. In this easy-going class, everyone experiences relief as they learn to recondition the mind and body through simply breathing and focusing. That’s why Robert calls it ‘meditation in motion’. Please preregister as we need a minimum of 8 people to run the class. No classes on Feb 18 and Feb 20.
Tuesdays: 10:00 a.m.-11:30 p.m.
Thursdays: 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.
BEGINNERS YOGA CLASS
with Kate Seaver, Sacopee Valley Adult & Community Education
his class is for anyone new to yoga or anyone interested in revisiting some basic poses. We will go over three-part breathing, ujjayi breath, and other pranayama exercises. We will work on basic warmups, the six directions of the spine and the healing power of visualizations. Come enjoy the calming effect of gentle movement. Wear comfortable clothes you can bend in and bring a water bottle if you would like. Please preregister as we need a minimum of 4 people to run the course.
BASIC SEWING & QUILTING I
with Nancy Campbell Darlene Scamman, Sacopee Valley Adult & Community Education
This class will cover the basics of sewing and quilting. Topics include machine maintenance, how to read a pattern, cutting techniques, the basics of grids, and much more! We have 2 small projects that we will complete. Fabric scraps for practice will be provided. Participants must bring their own sewing machine which must be in good working order. Materials fee of $25 is payable to instructor at class. Please preregister as we need a minimum of 4 people to run the course.

Want to make a welcome mat that really reflects your home? Join local artisan Johnna Shortsleeves and create a 2 foot by 11 inch doormat, personalized personalized to reflect your home. This would make a great gift idea…or make and keep for yourself! Johnna will email stenciling choice to registrants. Three days notice is needed to make stencil. Materials fee of $20 is payable to the instructor at class. Please preregister as we need a minimum of 4 people to run this course.
BUILD A SMALL STOOL
with David Drouin, Sacopee Valley Adult & Community Education
Hands-on learning!! Come have fun building your own stool. This workshop is where you will be guided by a master craftsman in the assembly a stool kit and finishing of a beautiful solid finished stool 15” long x 10”wide x 10” tall. Legs are at a cant to prevent tipping. All Connections are screwed and screw holes filled with plugs provided. Product is suitable for kids and adults. This small stool can be used for the bathroom, kitchen and any other place in the house. Also, portable for outdoor fishing barbecue….. Participants will need to provide their own wooden glue and rags. Materials fee of $15 is payable to the instructor at class. Please preregister as we need a minimum of 4 people to run the course.
SEA GLASS CLASSIC PICTURE FRAME

Let’s get busy creating your own sea glass Snowman or Heart shape design 5x7 picture frame using beautiful sea glass. Participants will take home their creations that night to hang on their wall or give as a gift. Feel free to bring your own beach treasures for a personalized touch. Pick your design and email to Kbodkatscreations@gmail.com. She will need at least one week’s notice. Material fee of $8 is payable to instructor at class. Please preregister as we need a minimum of 4 people to run class.
INDOOR WALKING FOR FUN & FITNESS

Boy, it’s cold out…but never fear! Just join us for a winter indoor walking activity that helps melt stress, health issues, and maybe even a few pounds without battling cold, snow, or ice. Come on in, warm up, and just walk! Meet in the lobby at Sacopee Valley Middle School. Please preregister as we need a minimum of 4 people to run this course. Please note you do have to walk for the full hour. No class February 19.
