AGING IN PLACE
with Grateful Undead Facilitator, Sacopee Valley Adult & Community Education
Like the rest of Maine, Sacopee Valley has an aging population, most of whom want to stay in their homes as long as they can “age in place”. This can be a challenge in a rural area like ours. Come learn about the Grateful Undead (GU), neighbors who volunteer to help create solutions to overcome rural isolation and limited resources. These efforts include transportation to essential medical resources, coordination with other groups such as the Sacopee Energy Alliance, and soon, the Handy Helper Brigrade. Need services? Want to volunteer? Come see what it’s all about. Check out aarp.org/me for social events, anti-scamming tips, age-in-place communities, and other ways to disrupt aging. A mission of SVACE is enhancing the Sacopee Valley as an aging in place community by announcing social events, classes, medical tips, legal contacts, etc. in our brochure. Check out Sacopee Valley Community News at sacopeevalleynews.com for community events. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more info.

Application fee for a Notary Public Commission is $50. Candidates must be residents of Maine. There will be also a swearing-in ceremony at a later date! Please preregister as we need a minimum of 4 people to run the course.
