Personal Support Specialist (PSS)

with Brenda Duggan, RSU 24 Adult Education

Free

Personal Support Specialists (PSS) are unlicensed assistive personel employed to provide hands-on assistance with daily living for older adults and people with disabilities. PSSs provide services related to a client's physical requirements for help with Activities of Daily Living. A PSS provides these services according to an authorized plan of care, which can be different depending on where and with whom the PSS is working.

The 50-hour course prepares participants to work in home health care or residential settings.  This is a great course to pair with a CNA certification.

Class will be conducted online via zoom. Clinical will be in-person and will be scheduled with students' input.

This course is by application, and an intake appointment and assessments are required prior to the start of this course. Please download the application here and fill it out. You may also call our office to get a copy sent to you or to make an appointment and complete the assessments. Have questions?
