Building off of Accounting 1, this course covers the basics of a double entry accounting system. Topics include assets, liabilities, owner’s equity, debits and credits, journal entries, ledger accounts, posting, balancing accounts, preparing a trial balance, and preparing payroll. Prerequisite: Accounting 1. The price of this course does not include a book fee of $30.00.

Acrylic Paint Pouring: Beginners

With this exciting process, students never know what beautiful patterns will be created until the paint is poured. We’ll cover what types of paint and additives work best to create beautiful abstract art. This class is appropriate for any artistic skill level, from beginner to pro, that wants to learn this technique. You will be transporting your wet paintings home in a container provided by the instructor, but you may want to have some plastic and a clean trunk or floor to rest the container on for the trip home. $30 materials fee payable to the instructor the day of class.

Ballroom Dancing For Couples

This class introduces couples to basic ballroom dance skills that will help them enjoy a night out, or prepare them for special events such as weddings, anniversaries, or social gatherings. The class also helps boost a student’s confidence by teaching them to look great while dancing to styles such as waltz, foxtrot, cha-cha, rumba, and merengue. Requirement: A dancing partner. Class payment is per person.

Do you have a valued LGBTQ+ person in your life experiencing a transition? This class will provide a safe place for participants to explore your new role as well. We will implement the five stages of grief as a template. This class is split into two parts. The first part will address the basic fundamentals of transitioning for your loved one. What it is and what to expect. The second part will address the spectrum of feelings you may have. We will discuss denial, anger, bargaining, depression and, hopefully, acceptance as you support the valued one in your life while validating your experience as well.

Buying A Fixer Upper And Bus Tour

Are you looking for a home to fix up and live in, or for an investment property? This class will help the novice investor navigate the numerous issues that come with buying a distressed property. Industry experts will be on hand to provide information on: foreclosures/short sales/distressed properties, financing- including rehab loans, inspections, and more. Build equity and avoid the pitfalls with the knowledge you will obtain in this class. Following a short class we will board a bus to view and walk through a variety of fixer uppers. This bus tour is unique, fun and educational. You will be joined by a real estate specialist, a mortgage specialist, an inspector and a contractor. The focus is to educate participants on the realities of purchasing Foreclosures, Short Sales and Distressed Properties. This class is collaborating with Windham/Raymond Adult Education due to more properties in that area.

Computers For Seniors

Designed for inexperienced students, this introductory class provides participants with the basics of computers, including email and Internet usage. Course also covers Facebook and Skype, and provides plenty of time for students to practice. No computer experience necessary. By the end, students will be able to upload photos to Facebook or create an album.
