Learn the basics of crochet, even if you've never even held a crochet hook before! Discover how to choose and read patterns, acquire materials, assemble pieces, and finish projects with step-by-step instructions and support along the way! Myriah will demonstrate a technique and then give you time to practice in class to build your skill and confidence. Students will work together to create individual friendship afghans using granny square patterns taught in class. Discuss pattern notes and gauge, crochet shorthand, pattern stitches and practice, blocking, assembly, and borders. Bring a size H (5mm) crochet hook and sharp scissors to the first class. Other materials will be determined after choosing a pattern. Leave the course with a completed project. No class 10/10.
