Welding - MIG I (Sept 2024)

This 36-hour (GMAW) course is for students with little or no experience in MIG welding. This course will cover shop safety, troubleshooting problems, machine settings, basic metal joints and how to weld them. Safety is covered in the first two sessions. Upon course completion, students may enroll in MIG II or TIG Welding. Students provide their own safety glasses, welding gloves, and reinforced-toe footwear. Please be sure to complete the 2-part form at this link and return it to MCST as soon as possible. Priority is given to those who are in the work force and are looking to learn/upgrade their welding skills. Hobby welders, please call 596-7752 before registering online.
